Combining with the characteristics of dry climate area, monitors the screw water chiller of the air conditioning system on-site for the office building in Urumqi. By regulating the running numbers of cooling tower fans and changing the temperatures of cooling water and chilled water, analyses the effects of cooling and chilled water temperatures on refrigerating capacity, input power and coefficient of performance (COP) of the high temperature screw water chiller. The result shows that along with the decrease of cooling water temperature, the COP of the chiller increases significantly and the average growth rate per unit temperature is 3.47%. Puts forward the problems and countermeasures that should be paid attention to in the designing of HVAC systems in dry climate area.
